CHANT OF GOD NAME

Truly feel deep sorrow when I bid farewell to those who are leaving. There’s no certainty whether we’ll ever meet again. Treat each other with genuine affection — it is through love that the world can be won. Learn from me how to be beloved by people. I deeply value being cherished by others, because one who is loved by people is also loved by the Divine. Only a selfless person can truly win hearts. Only one who acts according to God’s will gains that grace. When we do for others what we would have done just for ourselves, that pleases the Divine.

See the Divine in all places, in all people — don’t live only for yourself. Let every person feel glad in your presence. But this doesn’t mean you must always act or speak just to please them — not at all. To love someone, you don’t need anything — certainly not money. I say this from experience. I’ve lived through a poverty so harsh that few in the world may have endured it. And yet, even then, I held on to spiritual connection. If I could hold on to it through such hardship, why shouldn’t you?If there’s one thing I’ve done right, it’s that I’ve never intentionally hurt anyone’s heart. Preserve that principle. Everyone I met, I treated myself as my own. I simply played my part in this life’s game, without being swayed by pleasure or pain. I didn’t fulfill my desire to chant the Name fully — so I was born again.

I see each of you as a form of Ram. If you want to speak to me, speak to Lord Hanuman — he will let me know.Whoever belongs to me will find their way to me, no matter where they are. I have no liking for deceit or double-heartedness. Those who criticized me never truly understood who I am; but even those who praised me didn’t truly know me either. Everyone wants to be praised by others — but I simply live as I am. How can it be otherwise?Have faith that chanting the Divine Name will make you aware of your own flaws. So chant with all your heart.

Cling tightly to one Divine Name. Be deeply passionate about it, focus on it with full unity, and lose awareness of yourself entirely — even forget that you are the one chanting. That is true spiritual practice. For that unity to come, live every moment as if God is witnessing you. Let go of desires and aversions. Keep the belief that Ram is the doer. Experience life’s pleasures as a gift, not as a possession. Offer your virtues to the Divine. Approach God like a small child. Share your joys and sorrows with Ram. Don’t resent the body’s needs. Care for life — but don’t worry about it. Be fearless. And in doing so, see your death while still alive.
